Best Free Workouts to Stream Online

Before the quarantine, I had never streamed a workout class. Over the years, I have had a love / hate relationship with the gym. I felt amazing and motivated once I was working out, but my main problem was actually getting myself to the gym (I’m sure most of you can relate). For about the last six months, I started going to a boxing studio in Manhattan that I instantly became obsessed with. I found boxing to be the perfect way for me to release stress.

When we were first told to stay at home, I started going for walks around the neighborhood to get some fresh air and not feel like I was being lazy. As I kept watching the news and started to realize that we don’t know how long this is going to last, I knew I had to start exercising at home. I talked to a lot of my friends to see what everyone else was doing and started trying different classes.

Below you will find a list of some of the best free workouts to stream online right now. I know how hard it can be to be motivated during a time like this, but I challenge you to take one class even if it’s a short one. Take a break from working (Best Tips for Working From Home) and watching TV (Best Shows to Binge on Netflix Right Now) and get moving! We all want to avoid the quarantine 15. If you think any other classes should be added, please let me know by leaving your suggestions in the comments section!

EveryBody Fights Live

The first thing I did when I decided to try an online class was to see if my boxing gym offered any. I was thrilled to find out that they did! They have 7-day free trial for non-members and a 30-day free trial for members. They have a variety of on-demand classes ranging from boxing, strength, bags, core, cardio and yoga. You don’t need any equipment for these classes. Some of videos ask to use weights if you want to make the workout more challenging but you can use anything at home.

Peloton

They are currently offering new users access to the Peloton App for free for the next 90 days. A big misconception is that you need a Peloton bike to use the app but that is definitely not the case! There are live workout classes in strength, running, meditation, HIIT and yoga that you don’t need any equipment to do.

The Fitness Marshall

Caleb Marshall has been doing upbeat and heart-pumping dance videos for over five years. The videos are perfect for quick cardio sessions. You can find everything from “Cheap Thrills” by Sia to “Work” by Rihanna to “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran. I recommend doing a few songs back to back in order to really get a good workout!

Fitness Blender

Fitness Blender is a husband and wife, Daniel and Kelli, duo whose main goal is to make fitness attainable. They have over 600+ full-length workout videos for every type of workout that usually focus on specific muscle groups and they can range anywhere from five minutes to over an hour. You can do anything from pilates to HIIT cardio to stretch workouts.

Blogilates

Blogilates was founded by Cassey Ho and it has become one of the largest online fitness empires for women. She puts out a monthly calendar on her website so you can see what areas of the body she will be targeting each day. There are options for every level and there is no equipment necessary for any of her workout videos that range from POP Pilates to Bootcamp Sculpting (yoga mats are optional but recommended).

Happy streaming!
